THAWANI was founded with the goal of designing high quality timepieces with valuable design philosophies, which remain accessible to enthusiasts, casual collectors and beyond.

THAWANI's story began in Dubai, back in January 2019, with a mission of creating beautiful luxury timepieces that demonstrate how precious time is through the use of artistic product design.

Being very passionate about watches and living in a region with so much culture and history has lead us to creating THAWANI. It has been a very long and challenging journey and we have certainly enjoyed every second spent on making this watch. Now it is time for you to enjoy wearing one.

Our journey started back in January 2019 when we started thinking of how we can create a different kind of watch. Having lived in the Arabian peninsula for a very long time, the design inspirations had to come from this region, but we also wanted to show a very different timepiece philosophy perspective to what everyone is used to.

Wearing a beautiful timepiece is nice but was not enough for us. We wanted to come up with a new design concept. Something different. Something beautiful yet meaningful and purposeful. Wouldn’t it be nice to wear a timepiece that reminds you of how precious time is every time you lay your eyes on it?

The watch’s dial features an intricately designed Guilloché art consisting of overlapping spiral patterns representing the beautiful journey of life as it unfolds. Paying close attention to the second hand, you will notice immediately its design inspiration. Throughout history, swords have been used both as a weapon and an art piece, possessing beauty in its many forms and the art with which it has been adorned. The sword sweeps through this beautiful journey of life second by second reminding us of how precious time is and how we can never get it back, giving us the needed motivational boost to achieve and prosper.
